Amazing Tigers, is an informational book that teachers young readers about tigers. The book starts out talking about how every tiger has different stripes and each tigers looks different. It teaches the reader about how tigers hunt, and mentions that all cats are hunters. Then the book informs the

reader on what it is like to grow up as a tiger and facts on their weight and height. Next the book talks about tigers habitats. And last the book focused on how tigers are endangered, by loss of habitat and from being hunted by human. Scientist are helping the tiger by studying them to learn how to help them.
I really enjoyed this book and learning about tigers. The book had many different pictures of tigers and a lot of interesting facts about them. There is many different animals to choose from in this series of books. I will definitely check out more from this specific series, I feel like it does a good job on focusing on main points and keeps the information flowing nicely.
Classroom extensions:
1. Have the children make their own unique tiger. Let children, draw paint, or sketch a tiger to show that all tigers are different.
2. For an older class, have them write what they would do to help save the tigers.
