These books accompanied knock-offs of the popular American Girl Dolls. American Girl Doll books are nothing special, but at least they provide a basic grounding in history--MAC books are just derivative, paint-by-the-numbers insipid fantasy. The girls are all princesses and ballerinas...I think one
