Conditions are awful in the coat factory that Rebecca's uncle and cousin work in, so the workers are planning to strike. Like several other Changes books, Rebecca makes a speech though realistically, am not sure people would listen to a ten year old implore them about improving

labor conditions. Still, things work out neatly in the end, and both the book and Looking Back are a good introduction for kids to labor movements.
