This is a fantasy literature piece written from the perspective of a lonely book. Day in and day out this book sees all the other books catching the eyes of young children and being purchased at the bookstore while this book sits and waits for its chance. One day a little girl buys the book and the

book explains how wanted and loved it felt. However, when the book gets to her home it notices just how much attention she gives her dog over it. Later in the story the dog ruins the plain outside cover of the book so the little girl makes the book better by making it a new cover aka "jacket." Show Less
