I was made aware of Nat Turner after seeing the remake of ' Birth of a Nation ' earlier this year. It was heart wrenching and full of despair, both for the victims and even for myself watching such cruelty and unfairness.

This book is probably made for a 6th grader so was an easy read, but gave

enough details to someone who wanted to know the full story but not read a 200 page adult book on the subject.
