This is an excellent reference book on the Moon-- one of the most simulatneously elaborate and interesting that I have ever seen. Every moon-related topic imaginable is addressed-- the surface of the moon, moon phases, moonlight, ancient explanations, muslim foundations, moon missions, moon in film

and literature-- is presented. This book would lend itself well to an interdisciplinary exploration of any moon-related topic. While designed to be read a few pages or topics at a time, it could easily be read from start to finish as well.
