Slightly dated, but OH so relevant story of a boy who needs for nothing, but is different. His wealthy parents are told by the school that he does not fit in. They turn over his education to the Gardener, who promptly discovers that Tistou has green thumbs, everything he touches instantly blooms.

He uses this skill to make life better for the inmates of the prison, at the hospital for a girl whose been told she will never walk, in the slums of the city he lives in, and even to stop a war, a war his father, an a munitions maker was benefiting by. A unique and lovely story.
