The Demigod Files is a short fun book filled with facts, puzzles, interviews with some of the lead characters, and three original Percy Jackson stories. Some of the facts and puzzles seemed to have come directly from the book's website, but the interviews and the stories were new. The interviews
Show More
were OK. The stories were interesting since they highlighted characters we don't often "see" in the series, like Silena, daughter of Aphrodite, and Beckendorf, son of Hephaestus. There were many family moments too. The first story covered Clarisse and friction with her half-brothers. The last story brought in Nico and his step-mother. I think the last story was the best written and possibly pertinent for the final book in the series.

In all, I think I would have preferred more stories and less facts, but I did appreciate the map of Camp Half-Blood.

If you've loved the Percy Jackson Series, and missed the characters so much. You surely don't want to miss this out. This book- a companion to the said series, set at the time after The Battle of the Layrinth and before the final book- will surely appeal to the fans of Rick's works. So let's talk
Show More
about the contents of this book. It includes a map of Camp-Half Blood, which is good if you really want to visualize what the camp looks like. There are also interviews with some demigods, including the Stoll Brothers. Which will make us feel closer to them. It also features three different short stories of Percy with different demigods, that's still as dangerous as before. And that will also give us small hints of what will happen to the next book or series. And it also contains informations about the gods, weapons, etc., and games which is a piece of cake, and a sneak peek at The Last Olympian, the last and the final book of the series.

This is good and fun to read because it helps us to know the characters better and to enjoy them more. But the book would be better if more demigods were included to the interview like Thalia, Nico, or Rachel. Because this is their chance to be seen more. And I want more of them. Nevertheless, if you're an avid fan and wanted to be a half-blood like me. You'll like this.

Wow! This neat little book contains 3 short stories starring Percy Jackson, a map of Camp Half-Blood, pictures of the main characters (with a few exceptions - where's Nico and Tyson?), plus a sneak preview of The Last Olympian. I can't wait for May!

(My favorite story was the one set in the
Show More
Underworld. Hi, Bob!)

Thin book without alot of substance, but very cute short stories and interviews with the characters.

This is a good book that has two short stories about Percy's adventures. Percy is a demigod boy and is the main character in all the Lightening Thief series. In one of them, he goes into a giant ant's nest where the ants get really big to save his friend. In the other story, he has to help a friend
Show More
named Clarisse get a chariot back from two unmajor gods before sundown. This book doesn't tie into the Lightening Thief series much, but it is a good read.

I am reviewing the demigod files. Rick Riordan wrote this book. I chose to read this book because I have read the series, and this book contains more information about Percy Jackson's world. My favorite characters are Percy, Grover, Poseidon, Zeus, and The Minotaur. This is my review.

The Main idea
Show More
of the story is to give you top secret information about Camp Half-Blood. Info such as, a map of camp half-blood, annabeth's suitcase, pictures of your favorite characters, and more. They show pictures of Percy, Annabeth, Grover, Athena, Zeus, Poseidon, and Ares. Percy faces his most dangerous enemies ever.

In the first paragraph, I gave my opinion on the story. I also told you the author, and my aspect of the story. In my second paragraph, I told you the main idea of the story. I also told you some of the stuff the book contains. This is one of my favorite books.

A charming book to satisfy readers of Percy Jackson in between other books of the series with three short stories and other informative details about the world of the series. Included in the book along with the short stories are interviews with a number of the main characters, snapshots about the
Show More
major gods and their roles in the greater world and a number of small word games. This is the kind of book that will provide a happy few days full of more information for a child who already enjoys the story. It will also fill in useful information for someone who's slightly new to the series but due to a lot of information that's assumed in terms of plot, this would not be appropriate for someone who has not read the other books.

One of the nice things about the Percy Jackson books is that they're written in a way that a younger reader in late elementary school while still being enjoyable for a high school or middle school reader who will perhaps sympathize more with the main characters.

The Demigod Files was a short, filler book that was released just prior to the release of the fifth and final book in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series to whet everyone's appetite for more adventures with their favorite Son of Poseidon. Included in this book are three short stories of
Show More
Percy's further adventures since the fourth book, (poorly written) "interviews" with some of the main characters, a map of Camp Half-Blood, and some other odds and ends. Overall a cute little interlude in the story, but nothing that actually moves the story along.

This is a great guide to the Percy Jackson series.

This book is a continuation of the Percy Jackson saga and gives the reader a few short stories relating adventures of Percy before the final installment to come.

It was fun to see old friends and see the three children of the major gods - Zeus' daughter Thalia, Hades' son, Nick, and Poseidon's son
Show More
Percy working together to prepare for the final battle against the Titans. The interviews of some of the characters made them appear in more realistically human rather than demigods.

I'm ready now for the Last of the Olympians!

I wish Riordan would do another of these...after all, it would be nice to see the further adventures of Percy, Annabeth, and company as they go on into the college years. That all said, this is a nice little tale of short stories set in the Percy Jackson and the Olympians universe. While they are
Show More
obviously written for adolescents and teens, they have a resonance that adults ought to enjoy, and are deeper than you'd think. The Stolen Charriot helps show that perhaps there isn't that big a line between enemies and friends and fear and bravery and it leaves the reader with a bit more hope for humanity. The bronze dragon tale is simply put epic and fun. And the Sword of Hades is also epic and tells us to let go of our ghosts and be at peace. A great read!

Awesome little collection of random vignettes. It was nice seeing a story centered on Clarice.

Background on some of the gods, information about some of the characters and three short stories that add some dimension to Percy as a character and creates links between him and his fellow half-bloods. Interesting, full of humour like the series and while not important to the plot, important to
Show More
knowing more about the characters. Useful refresher to the series.

My reactions to this book are...mixed (hence the average rating). First, the short stories. All three of them were excellent, expanding the story universe and giving more insight into the characters and their motivations. They laid the groundwork for some things that come up later in the series
Show More
(and in the follow-up series) without bogging down the main narrative. The short stories were the reason I picked up this book in the first place.

Second, the interviews with the various campers and the other Camp Half Blood related stuff. I found these mildly entertaining, but not much beyond that. They do give some insight/information into the characters and how the camp works, but in general they feel pretty light.

Third, the puzzles and games. Again, mildly interesting, but also rather simplistic. This is completely understandable, given the target audience for the book, but I wouldn't have been fussed had they been left out entirely. I'm not a huge fan of puzzles in books anyway, since they can create issues if you lend/borrow the book.

Finally, the character depictions...no. Just no. They don't match up with my mental pictures at all. Too cartoony for my tastes, with exaggerated proportions and garish colours. And there's just something off about the eyes in nearly every picture.

This was a nice collection of short stories. Each story was exciting and enjoyable, and having the read the main entries in the series, I enjoyed the fact that it filled in a few gaps in storyline of the series. It was a nice entry. The interviews, biographical snippets, the crossword, and the word
Show More
search were all fairly well done, though not as interesting as the short stories. Overall, not bad.

I'm normally not one for guides like this, however I do believe that this was a useful and entertaining addition to the Percy Jackson series. It contained a little bit of background for Beckendorf and Silena, as well as some information on Persephone that is touched upon in the final book in the
Show More
series. So, while it isn't necessary to read this little guide, I do recommend it, as the subject matter does in fact come up later on. Plus, the interviews were just plain fun! I love the Stoll brothers.

Fantastic little gem for fans of the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series to enjoy while waiting for the next installment in the series, "The Last Olympian". Three short stories with familiar demigods and several new Greek mythology references, interviews with campers and even some color

drawings and puzzles! A very quick read.

The short stories were interesting and I especially liked the last story. The interviews were a little goofy at times although Annabeth's idea for designing a temple sounds absolutely gorgeous. A quick, light read.

I thought that this was a little too 'little-kiddie' for me. I know it's a children's series, but I just thought that this was too childish to fit into the series. I liked all of the extras though, it really filled the gaps between some of the books.

More filler than fulfilling, even though it's fun to see some of what Percy and his friends get up to in between major quests. The word-seek, etc. are just padding, and the excerpts from upcoming books are useful only if you haven't already read those. But as a library read, not bad if you know
Show More
what to expect.
