Dolls coming to life – sounds fascinating right? The plot was intriguing, but the writing was so horrible, I could barely make it through it. Martin should stick to The Babysitters’ Club.

This book was good but there were just a few blank spots where I didn't really understand that part of the book.

Sequel to The Doll People, this book carries on the plot and ideas of the first, but now under the dictatorial rule of one doll with no boundaries and no fear.

Narrated by Lynn Redgrave. Annabelle Doll and Tiffany Funcraft accidentally go to school in Kate Palmer's backpack. They spend time exploring the school after hours but the next day get into the wrong backpack and find themselves at B.J.'s house. The dolls there (a set of paper chain dolls, two

trolls and a set of Pajama Party dolls) are being terrorized by a Princess Mimi doll and her minions. Annabelle and Tiffany try to help their new friends but return to their proper home after the weekend...only to find out that Mimi has followed them home to the Palmers where her presence and boldness threaten to put all the dolls in danger. Interesting discussion of what to do about Mimi: Annabelle suggests doing nothing, thinking positive, and thus allowing Mimi to get trapped by her own doings. Inspired perhaps by 9/11?
