This is the story about Martin Luther King Jr.'s life. From birth to death it outlines his life as a child and his mother and father instilling in him that he is an equal and no one has the right to treat him differently. Martin Luther King Kr. grew up to become a minister and then a civil rights

leader. This is a lower level book with illustrations to help with comprehension. This would be a great supplemental material when learning about Martin Luther King Jr. and the Civil Rights Movement.

This book does an awesome job in explaining and breaking down to children the life of Martin Luther King Jr. It introduces King in a way where kids are personally being introduced to Martin himself as they read through each page of his life.

Review:
The man who helped change the world, Martin Luther King was one important man in history. Most children know of or at least have heard the name Martin Luther King, theres even a holiday in honor of him. It is extremely important for children to learn about how different our lives could have been without Dr. Martin Luther King fighting for his rights. This is a very powerful book that all children need to read and learn from.

This picture book entails the journey of Martin Luther King Jr. Before reading this book, you must know the background of Martin Luther King Jr. If you do not know what he fought for then reading this book could be somewhat difficult. I would make sure that this book and his background would be

incorporated into my lesson plans. I would read this book to a group of second graders because I feel as though they would understand the basic concept of Civil rights and what Dr. King fought for.
