This book of poems would be appropriate for second and third graders. Younger children would probably be able to relate to many of the poems. I think it would be good for teachers to introduce as well as read a couple of poems to the children first and then have them explore it on their own. The

book is filled with a collection of poems by different authors. The book includes poems about magic, animals, families and songs. Also colorful illustrations fill each page up.
Uses in the classroom:
1. After reading a couple of poems out loud I would pass the book around and have children look through it. If they find something interesting I would have them share with the class.
2.After each child looks through the book I would have them pick a poem they like and write a poem of the same category.
