It all starts out with the blinding of Jaykit, who is a courageous, but mischievious little kit. He was out with his siblings, Hollykit, and Lionkit, when he missed his footings, and fell into a hole. From then on, he was injured, and had to stay in the medicine den for a long time.

After that time,

Hollykit, Lionkit, and Jaykit all turned into apprentices; Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Jaypaw. Hollypaw tryed out for medicine cat, and Jaypaw, and Lionpaw both wanted to be warriors.

At the end, Hollypaw really didn't want to be a medicine cat, while Jaypaw was destined to be one, and so they switched places.

In the story they fended off enemies, and Jaypaw saved Lionpaw, and they all found the lost kits of Windclan later in the story. They were the prophecized heros that Starclan had spoke to Firestar about!!

Another book from the Warriors series. Didn't think I would like it based on what my friends told me, but I really liked it a lot more than I thought I would!

I love to follow Lionpaw, Hollypaw, and Jaypaw into their adventures. They are part of the new prophecy. I think I figured out why they were chosen; first of all, they are littermates. But the main thing is that all three hold an important gift; Jaypaw is the medicine cat, Hollypaw is a great

Trouble is brewing and it seems as if the Clans are ready to battle each other. Hollypaw seems to think she can help. She questions why the Clans cannot help each other and disobeys Firestar to find answers to her questions. Meanwhile Lionpaw, her brother, has his own problems as he shares a secret

with Heatherpaw, a River Clan apprentice. He also seems to have visions which as a warrior apprentice he should not have so why is he? Jaypaw, their brother who is the Medicine Cat apprentice, is having visions but does not always know what to do with what he told by Star Clan. He finds a stick on the border but does not know why it whispers to him. He knows he must save and protect the stick without understanding why.

I love this series. This particular series has me in its grasp since the first day I picked it up. I want to know what is going on and why these three seem to be involved so much as they are only apprentices. I know it will be something big and important. I cannot wait to find out what it is and if the Clans will work together or fight. The other Clans want to believe Thunder Clan is weak but Thunder Clan is stronger than the others because they are more tolerant and more willing to work together to help others.

This is an excellent series as it teaches without preaching and has a lot of action and adventure as well as the history of the Clans.
