Ironic how life works, no? I introduced my younger brother to The Ranger's apprentice series a while ago, and recently he decided that he like it so much he was going to by all the books in the series. And so I ended up reading his copy of The Brotherband chronicles. As I have no time right now,

this book like quite a few others will have to wait for a review.

I loved reading this fast paced adventure novel. I am huge fan of the Ranger's Apprentice series and so far the Brotherband Chronicles is just as wonderful, interesting, entertaining and fun to read as the first series. I am very much looking forward to the third volume.

The book was really good. It had great detail. You couldn't tell what was going to happen. It was a twist every page. The author is one of my favorite in the book series. The book was large and small print so it took me longer than usual. But overall it was great.

The book known as, “The Invaders” was a very great book. It held the thrill of a long adventure and had the feeling that it would become a legend. This second book in the “BrotherBand Chronicles” book series, was a gem of writing. The longest of the trilogy, it held a massive interest of

fictional scandinavian lore and culture. The sift and impressive scenes in this book were phenomenal.
As the story progressed, it had changing viewpoints. The main character, Hal, the antagonist, Zavac, and many other important characters all shared a view in this book. Altogether, the entire book was a gem. It’s unique style of storytelling was amazing and held me through till the end of the series. It presented a challenging read and a more compelling line of story than any other book I’ve read.

Love these Herons. They are working hard and growing on me. Love these books. These are great to recommend to my tweens who need something different to get into and get hooked on. They are addictive.

This is not my typical genre, but reading with my son. This book strings you along, building up along the way, but there's no finale.

We felt let down and lost interest in the series.

This is a strong sequel to this series, continuing directly off of what happened in book one of the Brotherband Chronicles. Actually, if anything, the characters only become more likable as things go on. Things are definitely heading in an exciting direction here, and I feel excited to read book

three soon. Overall, it's fairly rare for me to find an author that can carry the same likability and everything through from one series into another with completely different characters and storylines. It often just doesn't work. But, so far, Flanagan just delivers one win after another.

"The Invaders" continues the exciting series of Hal and his team as they hunt for Zavac. Surprisingly, this book is equally as good as the first - filled with page-turning adventure, humour and delightful characters. I also enjoyed how the author introduced Lydia to the boys. Young Lydia is no

damsel-in-distress. Instead, this young lady is fiercely independent and a talented archer. Her arrival added a touch of romance to the story without it detracting from the plot or putting boys off the series. A very entertaining read.

Okay, book 1 was a bit harder to get into. I really didn't think I would like the pseudo vikings, or Skandians, because of history readings I've done. I took quite a while to get into it. Not so this book. Although there are subtle review of what has happened, it jumps right in to action and I

wasn't disappointed. I even liked the lead into to the future books with the introduction of what might be a love triangle later on. I'll just have to keep reading and see!
