Cute. The characterization is good, the story is fun if a little predictable, but overall it somehow doesn't ring true. Mike's turnaround is just that bit too fast - the snowstorm is convenient, but he's started to switch even before that. Maybe it's just that with all these new experiences, he

only develops good habits and adopts exactly the actions his humans want him to? I'm really not sure why, but this one just reads too light and sweet for me. Despite all the desperate dangers they variously encounter. Fun, and I'll probably read it again - but it's never going to be a favorite, just eye candy.
