Sweet, peaceful, comforting story ...

Douglas Florian chronicles the doings of rabbits in his rhyming picture-book, which opens: "The habits of rabbits are many, not few, / with plenty of things that they love to do! / There's waking up early to see the sun rise, / and yawning at dawn while rubbing your eyes." From smelling the flowers
Pairing a simple text in rhyme with appealing illustrations depicting rabbits engaged in many fun activities, The Wonderful Habits of Rabbits would make an excellent read-aloud selection at bedtime, particularly as it concludes with its leporine characters going to sleep at the end of an active day. I liked the cadence of Florian's poetry, and found Sonia Sánchez's artwork charming. I don't know that this is a particularly memorable picture-book, but it certainly provides a sweet little interlude for young children.
