pallatable to squeamish adults. For example, when Hades (Pluto) abducts Persephone (Proserpina), there is no mention made that he is taking her to Hades, the Land of The Dead. Similar sanitizations exist thoughout the book.

However, for a very basic introduction to the classic Greco-Roman myths, this book will work just fine for young children and the illustrations are truly beautiful.
