Very satisfying conclusion to the Enola Holmes mystery series. In a final case, she finds out what happened to her mother and confronts her brothers.

Enola is working on the same missing persons case as her brother, Sherlock Holmes, and he gives her a mysterious envelope from her mother which contains a coded message. This volume in the Enola Holmes Mystery series brings Enola closer to her brothers and she gains a new understanding of her

mother.

Listened to the audio edition narrated by Katherine Kellgren. I was sad to finish this series, but thoroughly enjoyed the final book. Kellgren as usual was excellent. I just wish there was more Enola to come.

What can I say about this series that I haven't before? Amazing end to one of the best series I've ever read. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

The Case of the Gypsy Good-bye by Nancy Springer is the conclusion to the Enola Holmes series. Enola has one last case to solve and with it comes the answer she's been searching for most: the whereabouts of her mother.

The middle three books are mainly focused on Enola's clients and one big mystery
Show More
which she solves per title. The opening and closing books, though, are more about Enola, her brothers (Sherlock and Mycroft) and their mother. Now we get to find out what happened to her.

In that regard, although I remember LOVING the book from cover to cover, I can't really remember Enola's last case. I was so focused on her correspondence with her mother and tracking down those clues that the rest of the book is a complete blur.

After her father's death and her mother's disappearance, Enola Holmes escaped her older brothers and went into business for herself as a consulting detective. The case of a missing duchess brings her and Sherlock Holmes together, and Enola must decide whether to maintain her lonely freedom or hope
Show More
that her brothers have changed their minds about controlling her.

This book's mystery is pretty lightweight; far more time is spent on Enola's relationships with her brothers. I was glad to see a resolution there, but I wish this series could have continued forever, with its exquisitely described historical context and its wonderfully sensible heroine.

This book could be read by a fourth or fifth-grade student as an independent read. It has language that they can understand and explains confusing words and gives pronunciations when necessary. It is also in a series so they could read multiple if they enjoyed it. They would like its characters and

plot.

This series! It always manages to leave me smiling, and I can't imagine a more satisfying finish. I LOVED the family interactions here, the mystery was almost an aside for me. Hooray for sleuthy teens!

I love these books not only must Enola solve a crime she must outwit her two famous brothers. This had a decent mystery at it's core although it seems pure luck that Enola, Sherlock and Mycroft stumbled upon the two kidnappers.

The ending was very satisfying, aand I look forward to the next book in
Show More
the series with is due out later this month.

Enola is searching for a missing woman, initially in competition but ultimately in partnerships with Sherlock. An encrypted message from her mom does not convey good news. Delighted to note that this series will continue.

Enola finds that she needed a new home as well as new disguises since she was exposed helping Mrs Tupper in the previous mystery. There appears to be another case of a missing Lady Blanchefleur del Campo. Sherlock finds that he is also working on the same case. It does amuse Sherlock that Enola is
Show More
quite successful in solving mysteries. She finds questions and possibly answers when she meets a gypsy. The woman seems to know things about Enola and her mother’s disappearance. She offers vague information regarding her mother’s whereabouts. Coincidentally, it is Sherlock who receives a package for Enola just before her 15th birthday. They know it is from their mother as it is ciphered in such a way that only Enola can decipher it. This book wraps up many loose ends from the previous books.

Enola Holmes and the Black Barouche
Continues the adventures of Enola

Finally the family threads that have been playing out over the course of the series are going to be wrapped up - Enola will finally discover what has happened to her mother and will reconcile with her brothers. But there is a mystery to be solved too and it is in the course of that mystery that
Show More
things will come to a resolution.
