I chose this book because of my interest in the wolves at the Lakota Wolf Preserve in Columbia, NJ. I’ve been there several times both with children and adults and it’s always inspiring. While this book got an average of 4.5 stars both from Amazon and Goodreads, I was too easily distracted
this book. I did enjoy learning about each member of the Sawtooth Pack and their life together but the alternating chapters between Jim and Jamie Dutcher become repetitive and just a little dull for me. The best part of reading this book is that it lead me to research the other wolf packs they mentioned as well as Gordon Haber and others who have worked so hard to protect the wolves.
