No One Left to Tell by Karen Rose
Thriller and romantic suspense from the Baltimore series. Can be read as a standalone.
PI Page Holden meets and works with state attorney Grayson Smith to uncover evidence of a murder. Twists and turn abound in this story. High death count but some surprising wins

When a car crashes right in front of her, newly minted PI, Paige Holden, becomes ensnared in a vicious web of lies and deceit revolving around the wrongful conviction of an innocent man. Together with Assistant State's Attorney, Grayson Smith, Paige uncovers a
An action-packed suspense plot and an enjoyable romance, but the book is overly long with unnecessary repetition and recapping of events.
The conspiracy style investigation is intricate with many complex twists and turns. Although the outcome is relatively predictable, Rose still manages to keep the reader engaged mainly due to her excellent characterization. Silas, the reluctant assassin, is especially compelling and one cannot help but sympathize with his predicament despite his immoral actions.
Paige and Grayson are likable both as a couple and as individuals. Their backstories are very intriguing and add an extra layer of nuance to their personalities. While their chemistry is wonderful, it is never really clear what they see in each other beyond physical attraction.
There is a huge cast of characters and it is not always easy to keep track of the various friends and foes. Moreover, there are too many scenes that reiterate plot points and conversations along the way. These could have been removed to make the book shorter and more cohesive.
Overall, a solid installment in the series and the hints at stories to come are very appealing.
