Just another great read by Sandra Brown! Her books just keep getting better and better. This is a very fast-paced read, and you will not want to put it down until the end. Warning- please make sure you have a good night to read before picking this book up. Highly recommended!

FBI, a whole lot of snow and ice, and a red herring to beat all red herrings. Brown had me fooled through the entire novel, and even when I knew I was wrong I still couldn’t quite believe it. To me, this is the mark of some masterful character crafting. There’s not as much romance as you usually find in a Sandra Brown, but there’s enough to whet your whistle. And enough secrets to last a lifetime. There are a few holes in the police procedural parts of the plot (say that 5 times fast), but with all the intrigue, I just didn’t care. Show Less

exceeded my expectations. The book was exciting and got you guessing. I like how the different stories of the characters meshed together. I like how Ms. Brown kept you on your toes. I remember guessing who might be the real killer. Every chapter I have to change my answer since every guy in the book is potentially one. However, I wished that Ms. Brown added more "romantic" moments for Lilly and Ben since there were more suspense in it than romance. I guess a girl like more cheesy moments. :)Overall, I would recommend it to anyone who likes suspense and romance. :)

It also has a couple of subplots that tie into the case. I likely would have abandoned this book if I'd been reading it. It's a bit too contemporary and too amoral for my tastes. Even though the premise is a bit much, Sandra Brown does a nice job of putting it together with her polished prose. She is a talented writer, who with a better plot, could certainly write a better novel. Plot holes abound in this story and there is a good bit of synthesized melodrama, but it still remains a fairly enjoyable read.

This is a story that keeps the twists and turns coming throughout the whole book. The suspense keeps building until the very end. This is one book that pulls the reader in and doesn’t let go until the very end when everything is completely revealed. Just as the reader thinks they have it figured out another twist comes to make them doubt everything they think they know about this one. The action and suspense keep the story moving along at a fast pace but the reader is never lost and will stay in a story that comes to life with every word that is read. This definitely one book that readers should take the time to read.
