I found this book written like a Nancy Drew or Trixie Belden series. It's a 16-year-old girl who likes to solve mysteries and sometimes "assists" the police whether they ask for it or not. It's a fun book and is pretty goofy. It' leaves starts where the first book left off and even continues with a
Show More
storyline that was happening in the first book. I found it an entertaining quick read. All of the Angel characters are kind of goofy. But again, it's entertaining and nothing serious.

This one was even better than the first one. I just love Tandora and her family. They are such "Angels". Yes I had to got there. These poor kids have been through so much that you just want to celebrate the fact that thier parents are now dead. I can't imagine drugging your kids to make them

better, stronger, faster, smarter, and then push them and control them to the point of electo shock thereapy to wipe out your daughter's memory and more than likely to have had one daughter killed?! Wow that's called parenting. Tandy is so tenacious (thanks mom and dad) that she makes a good detective though and beats the cops to the truth (again!). The whole James storyline wraps up in a way that still left me hopig for another one of these to find out what happens next there. And Jacob! I think he may be their saving grace. If anyone deserves a Jacob in their lives it is these kids. James Patterson gets a touch down with this one!

This is a book that I just couldn't help but read and finish...The further along I got into the book, the better it got for me...

Once I got 300 pages in, it seemed like it just zoomed by and whenever I had to stop reading or set it down for a little while/for the night, it was almost an anxiousness
Show More
that came that was ready to get back to the book.

This story was just as great, maybe even a little better than Confessions of a Murder Suspect. I didn't even think that was possible.

And when Jacob was introduced to the book, I fell in love with him. He was tough, but loving. He made sure those kids knew he cared about them and he only wanted the best for all of them.

By the end of this book, I was even more in love with all of the characters. There was one person who was talked about in both books that was, as first, put off as being mean and uncaring but once her story started to come out, you could begin to see that she wasn't as uncaring as others tried to make her out to be. Maybe it was just that she didn't like some situations in one of her children's lives. I can't really go into it further without giving away more of the story and the part she played in it.

The ending seems to be and is hopefully a set up for a third installment in these books. And knowing James Patterson, it just might be. As of this review, I haven't checked to see if there will be. But I would love to see what happens with Tandy, her brothers, Jacob and James.

Absolutely loved it! Even better than the first. I don't think there has ever been a James Patterson book I have been disappointed with.

Substance: A totally dysfunctional family continues to be, in an outlandish yet simplistic fashion. The Protagonist (Tandy) is held out as a "detective" or problem-solver, but she exhibits remarkable ignorance and poor judgment at all times and in all places.
Style: Supposed to mimic "True
Show More
Confessions" style, and certainly matches the insipidity and boredom of that genre. There really isn't much point in setting her "personal" chapters apart in typeface and broken-fourth-wall fashion, when most of the book is narrated from her point of view.
I will not read the other books in this series.

This book wasn't what I though it would be, actually it was kind of all over the place, but it a kind of good way.

There wasn't a shorted of mysteries, but I felt that the book fell away form the the actual private school murders, and it be came more of a back drama to the real story.

In all I
Show More
enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next!

Tandi Angel is your typical private school girl. Attending an exclusive institution in NYC, she seems to be a good student and well liked. Except there's a whole lot of death around her. In the previous book in the series, Tandi helped solve the murder of her wealthy parents. This time, her
Show More
brother, the football phenom, is accused of murdering his celebrity girlfriend. And then a fellow student turns up shot dead in the park. It seems she was the 4th in recent weeks. And then there are the mysterious infestations of deadly snakes, spiders, and lizards in her posh condominium building. Now if only she could find James, the love of her life whose father was sworn enemy of her parents...parents whom when they found out, had her abducted and brainwashed to remove memories of him from her mind...

Yeah, it's rather over-the-top far-fetched. Of course, everything wraps up nicely in the end. Just be sure to shut off your brain before reading.

In the sequel to the #1 New York Times bestseller Confessions of a Murder Suspect, James Patterson keeps the confessions coming breathlessly as Tandy Angel delves deeper into her own tumultuous history-and proves that she can rise above the sordid Angel legacy.

Wealthy young women are being murdered

on Manhattan's exclusive Upper West Side, and the police aren't looking for answers in the right places. Enter Tandy Angel. The first case she cracked was the mystery of her parents' deaths. Now, while she's working to exonerate her brother of his glamorous girlfriend's homicide, she's driven to get involved in the West Side murder spree.

One of the recent victims was a student at Tandy's own elite school. She has a hunch it may be the work of a serial killer, but the NYPD isn't listening to her...and Tandy can't ignore the disturbing fact that she perfectly fits the profile of the killer's targets. Can she untangle the mysteries in time? Or will she be the next victim?

Tandy and her family are again in trouble. Her brother, Matthew, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend. Dangerous creatures like snakes and deadly spiders have invaded the Dakota apartment building where they live, and several young girls from private schools like Tandy's have been
Show More
shot and killed. Suddenly Tandy finds herself trying to solve three cases at once, but she is distracted because she has remembered something that Fable Haven tried to take away from her: memories of the boy she loves.
This was another good story by Patterson and Paetro. The character of Tandy is such an interesting and unique character as are her brothers and their friends. In this story; however, Tandy is almost overshadowed by the three mysteries she is trying to solve. The book would have been better if more time was spent on the development of one of the three cases rather than suddenly solving all three near the end of the book.
I'm still looking forward to reading the third book in the series, Confessions, The Paris Mysteries.

Tandy is back and this time she has 3 mysteries to solve. First, who killed her brother's fiancee (Matthew is on trial for the murder, but Tandy is pretty sure he didn't do it). Second, who is killing wealthy private school girls (who are about Tandy's age). And finally, how are poisonous creatures
Show More
getting inside the exclusive Dakota building where the Angel family lives. Oh, and she is still trying to figure out some of her past; what memories of her love James are real and what happened to him?

Tandy isn't certain if she will still have the mental focus and skills needed to solve these mysteries. First, she has been off her "vitamins" since her parents' death. These "vitamins" were actually drugs given to the Angel children by their parents to make them more focused, smart and strong. Will Tandy still be able to solve the mysteries without her special drugs? And will she be able to concentrate with the constant distracting thoughts of James running through her mind.

A new character, Jacob is introduced in this book. Uncle Peter has left Jacob in charge, he is the new guardian of the Angel children. He is the most sweet and caring adult the Angel children have ever known. He is more loving and caring than Maud & Malcolm ever were.

All in all, this was another great Patterson book. Tandy is a fun narrator and I enjoy reading about her adventures.

Obviously written for the 18-25 year old crowd and/or those into cozy mysteries, this a fun read if you can disconnect your reading brain from your intellect. I was successful and enjoyed it. It was a recommendation from a friend who received it as a paperback from it's original owner. She gets
Show More
lots of her books that way, and has made other recommendations, usually of a higher quality than this. I won't be checking out the rest of the series though. I'm no longer a teenager.
