Fiction. Suspense. Thriller. HTML:In Final Option, Juan Cabrillo fights the worst enemy from his past to the terrifying and unexpected ending created by the Grand Master of Adventure, Clive Cussler, in the latest action-packed thriller in his #1 New York Times-bestselling series. When the CIA realizes the identities of three American spies in Brazil have been compromised, they turn to Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon to rescue the agents. What seems a routine operation turns out to be a trap designed by Juan Cabrillo's greatest enemy, a man driven by hate to seek the ultimate revenge. At the heart of the plot is a state-of-the-art ship that is identical to the Oregon: same weaponry, same technology, same ability to evade capture. The only thing it doesn't have is Cabrillo and his talented crew. But will they be enough to go up against the one ship that rivals their own? The crew of the Oregon must piece together a series of disturbing events, including the mysterious sinking of a nuclear attack submarine and the possible discovery of a WWII-era weapon that was thought to be lost in the jungles of Brazil, in the ultimate game of cat and mouse.… (more)

Clive Cussler and Boyd Morrison deliver another rollicking adventure in the Oregon files series. In "Final Option" Juan Cabrillo and his team from the Oregon find themselves up against a relentless adversary who is hell-bent on destroying Juan by any means possible. In addition to possessing a
Show More
secret weapon created in the days of World War I, Juan's enemy also has a ship that seems to be identical to the Oregon in appearance, hidden technology, and weaponry. Has Juan finally met his match?

The end of this book was probably the most emotional ending I've come across in the Oregon series. Juan and his team are never sentimental -- they are mercenaries, albeit mercenaries for good. In "Final Option" we get to see more emotion from the team members and Juan himself, and it is very touching.

Judging by the ending of this book, the next one may head in a slightly different direction, but I am confident that the series will continue to be full of fun action and adventure, and I very much look forward to the next book in the Oregon files series.

Who is the bad guy with the counterfeit Oregon? Juan's ship and reputation are on the line as they battle their mirror image. Another good entry in this fine series.

The corperation has made a lot of enemies over the years....one of the oldest has assembled them and combined them with a duplicate Oregon and plans to discredit and then destroy them. A fun read and enjoyable story.

Book fourteen of the Oregon Files Series. Juan Cabrillo and his team from the Oregon find themselves up against a relentless adversary who is hell-bent on destroying Juan by any means possible. The Oregon crew is all familiar and I've become a fan. It's a fast-moving, exciting read/listen that kept

me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Sure looks like the end of the Oregon, but maybe not the end of the series.

If anyone remembers going to Saturday matinees that ended in a cliffhanger that kept you coming back week after week for more until finally the unforgettable, climatic ending started another adventure the next week...will really love this book. I have read all the previous books in this series and
Show More
have never been disappointed but this one is on an entirely different level. I can't wait for the next installment to see what the Oregon crew has come up with to carry on their missions. Boyd Morrison really outdid himself here. I learned long ago that fiction was just that...fiction...it's just a story and not reality...but there was one scene in this one that brought tears to my eyes. Bet it won't take most readers long to find it.

Final Option is a captivating yet sad adventure about the ship called the Oregon. There are crazed and obsessed people in this world who live to hurt others. Some how, this type of personality gets followers and proceeds to destroy. This is precisely who our heroes on the Oregon have encountered.

I started reading Clive Cussler over twenty years ago and then, as prices skyrocketed for his books; I started looking elsewhere. At that point, I was up-to-date and enjoyed his stories. Lately, I've returned as pricing is now more reasonable...and the books are older, too, so I'm not seeing

repetitive storylines that other reviewers are complaining about. There are also dozens of books in both series that I haven't read yet.

FINAL OPTION captivated me and kept my interest throughout. Juan Cabrillo and his Oregon crew had their hands full in this story, and several times, I thought it would be the end of them. Their adversary had planned everything and ensured he had the odds stacked in his favor. They set many traps for the Oregon crew. Will they all survive THE FINAL OPTION?

Highly recommend this book to all interested in historical fiction and adventures on the high seas.

Cabrillo's Oregon team is up against their greatest foe yet. This one didn't follow the same formula as the rest of the series, which was a nice transition point.

Another solid action adventure from Clive and Boyd. This time Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon are going up against doppelgangers that are as well-equipped and financed as they are. Before you know it, they are on the run, framed as criminals and hunted by a collection of old enemies will
Show More
stop at nothing to kill them and destroy their reputation. There are no safe harbors and they ultimately have to consider one final option.
