Description

Stanstead County lies just north of the Vermont border in southern Quebec. It was first settled in the very early 1800s by families from New England, especially Vermont and New Hampshire. About three-quarters of the book, however, consists of genealogies of the pioneer families living between the mid 1700s and late 1800s. An everyname plus subject index complements the volume. Genealogists with missing branches on their New England family trees may very well find them here.… (more)
