Contains footnotes supporting liturgy, cross-references, explanations, and contains "Apocryphal" text. Rather heavy paper back due to the abundance of footnotes.. One thing I remember from using other crossed referenced Bibles is that the footnotes are either archeological, explaining some Bible

If the footnote does not harmonize with the original language meaning or takes some drastic turn in reasoning not in harmony with the rest of the scriptures then as Jesus said "let the reader use discernment". I remember one preface to a bible remarking something to the effect: Footnotes are not "inspired."
