system for application in the petrochemical industry. The major efforts, to this point in the contract period, have been to establish the overall system requirements and evaluate subsystems and subsystem components and characteristics upon which a cost effective conceptual system design will be developed. The design-user team formed to accomplish this project consists of two subsidiaries of Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO); Northrup, Inc. (NI) as solar system design partner and the ARCO Oil and Gas Company as the industrialuser partner.
