the burden of promoting the fair falls upon science teachers who have to add the organizational activities for the fair to their normal teaching load. This manual is intended to assist in the Science Fair process by providing information about how to create a team of volunteers to manage the organizational activities. Although published materials about Science Fairs are abundant, nearly all of the materials focus on how to develop and complete a Science Fair project. In general, these documents are aimed at science teachers and students and describe how to select a project, apply the scientific or engineering method, and create a display and report. A few publications address how to conduct the Science Fair itself, including organizing the judging, determining techniques for scoring projects, and establishing rules about project displays.
