Summary

Cassandra, a "cis black first-generation working poor woman in [her] mid-twenties," writes about cultural anxiety surrounding love, dating, and relationships in her black-and-white perzine. Issue 1 provides "origin stories" about her Haitian immigrant parents, dating a male feminist, female friendship, emotional labor, and dating white men as a black woman. The zine also touches on other topics like the Black Lives Matter movement, white feminism, Beyoncé, and tattoos. Issue 2 includes writing on social media, sexual assault, the L Word, being a zinester of color, and navigating queer/punk/DIY spaces in New York. It features art by Sy Abudu and a piece on the classism of sapiosexuality by Hater Laureate. Issues include resource guides, further reading lists, and playlists.
