"A companion to her astonishing collection of prose Cooling Time, C.D. Wright argues for poetry as a way of being and seeing"--

Of all the essay themes I was drawn to Wright's tender and insightful musings on the work of William Carlos Williams and Robert Creeley. She is both direct, esoteric, and playful in her prose, and the fragmented format of the essays, drawn out across the book, creates an understanding in the reading of the interconnectedness of poetry and life.
