Having read Isle of Swords, we just had to read the next book Isle of Fire. Once again, it was hard to put down. Many a school night's curfew was extended as our family enjoyed the book during our family's "read-aloud" time.

This book is EXCELLENT. Like its prequel, Isle of Swords, it is full of mystery and danger. Cliffhangers abound. The characters face underwater labyrinths, hurricanes, fire rain, and berserkers, to name a few of their challenges. The characters are unique, the plot takes several surprising twists,

blood-thirsty pirate Bartholomew Thorne has convinced a group of technologically advanced heathen Vikings to help him burn London. It's up to Cat, struggling with his terrible past, and Declan Ross's crew of extremely entertaining pirates to stop them. Add a hurricane, Greek-fire, a particularly nasty group of Berserkers, a gullible king, and a strange, bald lad named Hopper, and you've got the best book since Isle of Swords!

For anybody who likes bang-bang action and plenty of pirates. ARG!

With most of the characters from Isle of Swords, you will be thrown back to the sea.
Mr. Batson is the only author that I know who can put pirates and Vikings in one book. What's that? You have to read it to find out.
Over all Wayne Tomas Batson did a great job making the sequel fit with the first
