Description
The first chapter in Peter Jackson's new epic trilogy set in Middle Earth 60 years before J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the rings saga. I watched almost an hour of it on tv -- it was pretty bad. The LotR films had their problems, but they were mostly resonance interpretations of the books, kinda-sorta. This, however, was dreck. Sort of a fan-fiction sub-D&D action film graphic novel come to life. Dwarves yelling "Go! go! Go!" like

Dwarves and a hobbit go on a trip.
Steaming pile of disappointment. The only thing at all enjoyable is the Gollum scene. Otherwise, it feels like watching someone play a video game based on a Hobbit movie.
