Apollo and Meg return to New York to face Nero, the last remaining emperor. Nero has issued an ultimatum: Apollo must surrender by sunset or he'll burn down the city. Will, Nico, and Rachel join them on a quest to prevent Nero's attack on the city.

Great finale to the series.

Perfect ending to the series. I'm excited for the upcoming Nico & Will book since it seems that there were breadcrumbs about the plot in this last Trials of Apollo book.

I really enjoyed this book.

Because of book 3, it took me several years to actually get to this point, but I’m really glad I did because this was a really good series.

I liked Apollo as the narrator and his easy acceptance of LGBTQIA+ and other marginalized characters. I enjoyed meeting characters from the older books (especially Nico and Will in book 5 – love them!
