different schools. Martin took note, and polished his speaking skills. He became a Reverend, and spoke often to his congregation about equality, and making a stand for what's right. When Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat in a bus to a white passenger and was arrested for it, King rallied the citizens, successfully carrying out a strike against bus riding until the laws were changed. This was a spark to the major civil rights movement leading to King's famous 'I have a dream' speech. Above all, King supported non-violent protests, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi, to get the message across. The end of the book contains a more detailed look at King's life, using language suited for much older readers. Inspirational and educational both, this entire series is great!
