This book talked about bugs. There are many, many types of bugs. This book showed how some bugs are helpful and some are harmful. It also talked about what different types of food that these bugs eat, and where these bugs might live.
I really can't say I cared much for this book, because I hate

bugs, but however it really informed me about the different types of bugs that I might see.
One activity you could do with your children would be go on a nature walk and find different types of bugs, and then come look closely at these bugs and find out what they eat, ect. The students could also draw different types of bugs and hang them up in the classroom.

This book has nice large photos of real bugs. This is a great teaching tool for children as they get to see up close the detail without having to touch the real thing. Many of the bugs in the book are a bit more exotic than what you may find in your typical backyard.
