A pleasantly illustrated book with a simple story about a crow learning what bird he is by comparing himself to other animals, mostly other birds. Some of the animals are expected, as they are native to North America, but I do like the inclusion of the puffin and the raven as birds for comparison.
The book is written in a rhyme that is pretty easy to follow and good for read aloud. The book also includes suggestions in the back for how to engage kids with the reading through questions and activities.
