SUMMARY: This book was a poem describing Harriet Tubman's life. It begins with Harriet being born into slavery. Then it tells about Harriet having to continue to work very hard and continue to pray for strength to free her people. Her and her people marched at night and slept during the day. She
REVIEW: This book would be a good book for students learning about Harriet Tubman. It in simple terms describes her significance to civil rights. Students can use this as a book to still learn, but an easier read than a reference book. It gives the big idea in simple terms. Also, it is not as graphic and harsh as some other books may be.
