The tag line "There is so much to love about life" sets the tone for the rest of the book. Filled with beautiful full page illustrations, this book uses metaphors of animals and their habitats to comment on life with its bleakness and joy, wilderness and rainbows.

"Life begins small," the narrator informs us at the opening of this lovely, contemplative picture-book exploration of the beauty, the struggle and the wonder of... life. The narrative is simple but powerful, offering observations and insights that work to make the reader consider life as an

This is an inspiring book about nature and ... life. In gentle tones and language fitting for a child, it describes how life can sometimes be difficult but there are many beautiful things in it. To illustrate that point, it discusses all the small wonders of nature that animals enjoy. The

illustrations are awe-inspiring, managing to capture the wonders of nature in beautiful, bold pictures that are very much in Wenzel's style. I highly recommend this book as a read for a kid (or adult) who is down, or just as a bedtime story to serve as an ongoing reminder about how wonderful life can sometimes be.

What a lovely book.

Perfect for a gift book for readers who are graduating, starting a new job, retiring, newly committed to vegan living, having had a recent loss or anyone going through a change, or experiencing painful feelings, and for anyone who appreciates nature. This lovely book can act as a

healing meditation.

Great for introspective readers, for individuals, for groups, for reading aloud and reading independently.

Lush, gorgeous, and interesting illustrations.

Peaceful and educational and somewhat subtle in its overall message of celebrating life.

Highly recommended for all ages. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I love this picture book so very much. It made the perfect graduation gift for my daughter, who is a lover of all creatures, especially elephants, and a vegetarian. It was so much better than just giving her a graduation card. I hope she will save it to read to her children one day.

This is a simple and beautiful picture book about life -- about growing from small to big, about traveling through bleak spaces, and about trusting life to bring beauty.
