My two-year-old and I like this book because I always call him "honey bunny" - and although, "honey, my bunny" isn't exactly the same, it's close enough for my son. He particularly likes the picture where the little bunny is lost in the woods and you can see the mommy bunny's ears sticking up

behind a big root - so you know the bunny is about to be found.

Text is medicre, but the illustrations are extremely cute and beautiful. Check this one out from the library if you you have a young bunny lover in the family.

I must've read this to various kids and grandkids hundreds of times- they all loved it, and so do I.

Lovely pictures and a cute story, but I find this book very hard to read aloud to children. The story requires the same phrase to be repeated in many different ways (BUNNY, my honey! Bunny, MY honey! BUNNY, my HONEY! etc), and even worse: there is a song that they sing. Now, you might not find this

as bothersome as I do, but I can't stand a) saying " the Mommy rabbit sang... " and speaking the lyrics, or b) making up a tune to go with the lyrics, and then c) being admonished by the listener for either not singing or not singing it the same way as last time. My suggestion is to make up your own story to go with the illustrations. Unless your child can read, and then you're in trouble.

IT IS VERY CUTE FOR A CHILDRENS BOOK

Super cute illustrations, with a perfect balance between cutsie cartoonishness and realistic details.

You'll find yourself not actually reading the story as printed if you're reading to a small person who does not yet know how to read. Ain't nothing wrong with that, though.
