Rebecca is at it again--she is on vaca in the west coast of the US. Taking a road trip by motor coach with her mom, husband and others on the lookout for her missing Dad and others. Outlandish as usual. Helps to read the Shopaholic to the Stars beforehand.

I just keep reading these books because they are so enjoyable. Although it has turned into a pretty long running series, Becky Bloomwood Brandon has grown so much as a character--not just a one hit wonder shopaholic any more. The whole group heads to Las Vegas in this story, on the heels of Becky's

dad, Tarquin and the perhaps unreliable Bryce. Becky's dad is determined to fix a long ago slight and I chuckled at times as things came to their final conclusion.

I found myself liking Becky more in this novel than I have in the previous books in the series. She seemed less self centered but still funny. There are some great "American" scenes - the obligatory road trip in a rv, Las Vegas, new age art, even a homage to "Ocean's Eleven". A fun read.

This novel, which carries on from the cliff-hanger ending of the previous one ("Shopaholic to the Stars") begins with some correspondence between Becky and her former bank manager. It’s cleverly done to summarise the key points of the storyline so far.

Most of the book is about the search for

Becky’s father, who went missing in the previous book, along with her best friend Suze's husband. There are quite a few people in this volume, and it helps to have read the earlier ones. The author has kept the characters interesting - if caricatured, in some cases - and I like the way Becky has matured as the series progresses.

Lots of threads are tied up in this book. It feels like a concluding book to the entire series; I don’t know if that’s the case, but if so it works well.

If you prefer more serious novels, this probably isn’t for you; but for those who like light-hearted stories with good writing and likeable people, I’d recommend this series, and this book in particular.

This book takes up where the previous one left off. Becky and her tribe are determined to track down her errant father and save Tarkie from being fleeced. But Suze has a deep, dark secret, Bex is so upset she can’t shop, and Dad is determined to right a decades-old wrong. This series is meant to

entertaining and this novel doesn’t disappoint. Yet, it has its darker moments and is not all fun and frolic. Great characters and a somewhat convoluted but still interesting plot make for good chick-lit. Please keep writing this series, Ms. Kinsella – it’s a winner!

I had been putting off reading this book because I was a little disappointed by the previous one in the series ("Shopaholic to the Stars"), but I'm glad I did read this because I did enjoy the book and my curiosity peaked from the last book (what was Becky's father's big secret?) was properly

satisfied. There were some funny bits--not pee-in-your-pants funny, but smile-and-lightly-giggle funny--and some nice plot twists that I didn't expect. However, Becky Bloomwood and her squad are starting to feel a little old, mostly because their ridiculousness has become almost too ridiculous; I can feel each book striving a little too hard to top the previous one. I can see Kinsella setting up for another installment (a second baby for Becky? Becky balancing a second baby and a stylist career back in England?), but I'm hoping this is the conclusion of Shopaholic. I really enjoy Kinsella's other books, which are now funnier without trying too hard. Still, this was a light, enjoyable read.

A satisfying conclusion to the previous novel, but not my favorite in the series.
