Following a short stint at Station Two, a British spy training facility in the Scottish Highlands, Stone Barrington finds himself pitted against a traitor with a lethal agenda.

The fifty-first in the series, “Stealth” finds Stone staying put [relatively] rather than house-hopping between his

many properties. Despite the fact that Stone remains [relatively] settled in England throughout the story, Dino and Viv Bacchetti manage to be front and center for most of the goings-on. [It must be nice to be able to call out of work so often.]

The requisite luxury, fine food, money, and sex all play major roles here, but the shameless bed-hopping has become both crude and embarrassing. Fans of the series may enjoy the spy caper, and there are some exciting moments in the telling of that tale, but it’s long past time for Stone Barrington to find some respect for the ladies he dates and for himself.

#51 in the Stone Barrington series, the book was a fun read, even though it was full of very formal dialogue. With the help of two brilliant women, Stone must leverage a new position of power to capture a villain. Of course, he beds both women and Holly Barker to boot. Yep, i concur. with other

reviewers..quite a lot of sex in this one. Lance plays a large role in this story as does Dame Felicity. Naming of two detectives at the end reflect the author's humor :-)

surgeon. He also meets Colonel Roger Fife-Simpson. Fife-Simpson becomes assigned as Felicity's deputy at MI-6, but is abrasive. Through a series of movements, Felicity gets him to resign. He resents this, and is recruited by the Russians. The Russians then put out a hit on Felicity and Stone.
This was typical Barrington, lots of sex, put in danger which he miraculously escapes, and an OK plot. Better than the last one I read, but still too much gratuitous sex. The best part of these novels are that they read quickly - you can finish in about 3 hours.
