Description

It took quite awhile for me to become interested in this book. It seemed to drag until almost the end. I was disappointed since Wiseman's books are always a great read.

I LOVED this novel! Beth Wiseman's writing is STUNNING and quickly captures me everytime. While I've read her novellas in An Amish Christmas, An Amish Gathering, and An Amish Love, I have been anxiously awaiting a new series from her. I read her series, Daughters of the Promise, and fell in love
Sweet David and Emily's characters were wonderful. My heart was instantly captured by them. Both of them, though, had issues to deal with from the past that they needed to overcome. Reading their stories and watching them grow in their faith together, as they sought Him with all their hearts, was a heart warming, and eye opening, experience.
Beth Wiseman did a great job at using that message- seeking Him with all their hearts- for not only Emily and David, but also sweet Katie Ann and even the cranky ol' Martha's character! I was completely fascinated with the way it all blended so well, yet left Emily and David the center of the story.
This is at the top of my Amish novel recommendations list. Hands down, it's a 5 star novel and a perfect start to the Land of Canaan series. While I was sad to see the story end, I'm happily, anxiously awaiting the release of the second Land of Canaan novel!

instantly. I just can't ever get enough Beth Wiseman novels! I was in for a real treat, though, when I started reading this sweet read. I got to visit with long time friends, Samuel, Lillian and David Stoltzfus, whom I met when reading Plain Perfect! Sweet David and Emily's characters were wonderful. "Seek Me with all your Heart" is the nicely done first book in Beth Wiseman's new "Land of Canaan" series about an Amish community living in Colorado. Wiseman uses several characters from her "Daughters of the Promise" series in this book, namely David and his family, and fans of that series will be eager to find out what happens to David. David's reasons for not wanting to get married are understandable and it is interesting to see how he's grown through the series of books and how much he grows in this particular book. Emily's fears about marriage are truly heartbreaking and show how even the Amish are not immune to crime. Wiseman deserves kudos for treating a brutal subject so sensitively. The romance between Emily and David is nicely done and very believable. While their romance is the center of the book, there are several other interesting storylines. The continuing marital problems of Katie Ann and Ivan are a central part of the book and will be explored even further in the next book in the series (I wish I didn't have to wait a year to find out what happens!). For me, in many ways, the most interesting secondary character was Martha. At times she made me laugh, other time she made me cry. I'm anxious to find out what happens to her in the next book.
"Seek Me with all your Heart" is yet another good book set in the Amish Community by Beth Wiseman.

I always forget how much I love Beth Wiseman and her books until I pick up the new one.
This book was all I wanted it to be plus some and to me it was better as there was no tragedy in the last couple of chapters that they needed to overcome as in many other Amish books I read.

first book in a new series called A Land of Canaan Series. It is about Emily and her family, who has moved to this new Amish community and how they settle in, meet new people, strengthen their relationship with Christ, and even some humor. I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next installment.

The first book in this series and it will take you to Colorado, where some of the Amish seem to be moving, for many different reasons. Emily Detweiler and her family moved because of a very personal tragedy that happened to Emily. David Stoltzfus' family have moved but David cannot figure out why
Very well written story. Took me a little bit to get into the story, but once I did, I enjoyed getting to know these two families and seeing how they were dealing with hard realities they each experienced. Alot of interesting characters in this story and I look forward to getting to know them even better in the next book in this series, "The Wonder of Your Love".

they had to leave their home in Pennsylvania. Emily doesn't want a man in her life and David doesn't want to get romantically involved with anyone either. So they set out to be just friends. Emily is growing to love David though and fears when he finds out about her past he will reject her. They both have issues they need to share with each other in order to let love truly grow. But first they must seek the Lord with all their hearts and let Him give them their heart's desires.Very well written story. Took me a little bit to get into the story, but once I did, I enjoyed getting to know these two families and seeing how they were dealing with hard realities they each experienced. Alot of interesting characters in this story and I look forward to getting to know them even better in the next book in this series, "The Wonder of Your Love".
