A kidnapped baby, a psychic connection to a lost doll, and a burgeoning romance with an FBI agent. A good story, well-written--and overtly Christian. Add a star if you don't mind proselytizing in your fiction.

Rachel Sutton is a music teacher who leads a very quiet life. Not really by choice, she has no family. Growing up in foster care has made her appreciate her cozy and permanent home though. Her quiet life is turned upside down one morning when she finds a Raggedy Ann doll under a snow drift. Picking
Nick Bradley is a Special Agent with the FBI. In his years of work he has seen many unusual things. But when Rachel Sutton arrives at his office claiming she has a "reaction" when she picks up the doll he's thinking she's just another nut. As he talks with her though he realizes she is very perceptive, intelligent and attractive. So what could her reaction mean?
This is the third and final installment in the Heroes of Quantico Series. I really liked all the stories but I have to say this one was my favorite. I think it was because there was lots of interplay between Nick, Mark, Emily, Coop and Monica. Those were thoroughly enjoyable moments for me in the story. I also really liked the characters of Nick and Rachel. I enjoyed watching how open and honest Nick was about his faith and how honest Rachel was in saying she had none. The author did a great job in pointing out how one person can make a huge difference in someones life and not even realize it. This was a very engaging story from the beginning right up to it's outstanding conclusion and loaded with lots of twist and turns. I only regret that we must leave these "very real" characters with the close of this book. I felt very endeared to these Heroes of Quantico. Great job Irene!

This is a book filled with suspense and tender romance. Once again Irene Hannon has written another in the Heroes of Quantico series that is fast paced and heart stopping good. I couldn't put it down until I had finished it completely.
FBI agent Nick Bradley has been around for awhile and heard it
The chemistry between Nick and Rachel is real and wonderfully written. The child abduction was scary but also well done. And all the twists and turns of this book keep one glued to each page. I think the best line in the book was the one "a coincidence is a small miracle in which God chooses to remain anonymous". There were alot of "coincidences" in this story, which one can see as God's hand working all things out for His good. You won't be disappointed at all the discoveries you will find as you read this suspense filled, action packed story.

all, but when Rachel Sutton walks into his office with her story, and a far-fetched story it is, he can't dismiss her or her story, because in his gut he believes she is telling the truth. Rachel has found a Raggedy Ann doll buried in the snow and when she goes to retrieve it she touches it and gets terrible feelings running through her. She feels danger in the doll, but will the FBI laugh her off, or listen. And why is this happening to her??The chemistry between Nick and Rachel is real and wonderfully written. My Synopsis:
In Harm's Way (Heroes of Quantico series - Book 3) by Irene Hannon
(For review from Revell)
FBI agent Nick Bradley wasn't prepared when Rachel Sutton entered his life. He believed that people who claimed be psychic or had strange experiences were mostly kooks and he'd seen plenty of them
Rachel Sutton isn't given to flights of fancy. She isn't a part of the psychic scene but when she finds a discarded Raggedy Ann doll in the parking lot of a local restaurant she has an experience that she is unable to explain. Looking at the doll gives her a fond warm feeling, but touching it is another matter, she feels terror and has a physical response. She hears a babies frantic cries and Rachel doesn't know what to do. Her friend suggests she take the doll to the FBI and thats where she meets Special Agent Nick Bradley. Handsome, unattached and he believes her, what a combination. Will Rachel and Nick take the next step into a relationship? Will they find out what is causing Rachel's reaction to the doll? What about the baby she hears crying?
My Thoughts:
In Harm's Way is the third book in the Heroes of Quantico series. Irene Hannon has done a wonderful job with this series with strong research into the workings of the FBI and wonderful storytelling. In Harm's Way wraps up the series and does so with style. Mark, Coop and Nick have come a long way from their academy days.
Nick's story delves into some interesting topics, like psychic phenomena, repressed memories and even the ups and downs of a child in the foster child system. Baby Danielle's abduction at the beginning of the book is very riveting. It gets the readers attention. I found it really interesting that the whole thing came from an overheard conversation between two mothers and how easy it would be for this type of thing to actually happen. Very suspenseful and thrilling!
I also liked how the relationship between Nick and Rachel progressed. It wasn't a fast paced and in your face romance. It developed like most real relationships do. Boy meets girl. Boy helps girl with a problem. Boy realizes that girl may be just what he's looking for. Girl realizes he isn't what she expected and maybe he's just what she's looking for.
I felt like the issue of faith was dealt with a very delicate way. It was a part of the story but it didn't beat you over the head. It was subtle and made the reader comfortable with the idea. Lots of people read books who don't attend church or have any ideas about their own faith. This is a book that will let them explore it, but it won't overpower them.
Available April 2010 at your favorite bookseller, from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
I liked this book a lot and give it 4 out of 5 apples from my book bag.

in his career, but this was different. When Rachel came to him with dirty, Raggedy Ann doll in a shopping bag and a story that was more than a little hard to believe, Nick was thrown for a loop. Not only was she not loony, she was beautiful and articulate. When Nick unexpectedly finds a connection between Rachel's feelings of abject terror when she touched the doll and an abducted child, both of their lives take a dramatic turn.Rachel Sutton isn't given to flights of fancy. I've read several books by this author and liked them well enough to put her previous titles on my TBR list. This is the third (and I think final) book in the Heroes of Quantico series. They are a bit dated in the technology aspect (the agents carry blackberrys). All 3 stories are fairly similar in
In each book, the FBI agent meets a woman who he is immediately drawn to and then feels he has to protect. In each book, the woman gets abducted and then must be saved by law enforcement. In each book, the danger convinces the couple that they must take the risk to love the other. It's kind of sad that it takes something of that magnitude to do that.
I was a little concerned at the beginning of this book because it seems like Hannon jumps into the supernatural. It does turn out that there is a rational explanation for at least part of what happens, so if that is a concern of yours, please keep reading.
