As I began reading this, I realized that I had read it once before, years ago, so I already knew the outcome of the cancer when it was diagnosed. Being a cancer survivor myself, it was very hard to read that part of the book.

down the road for some of the characters as well.

I found the pacing of the story a bit slow at times. I also wonder at some of the reasons characters give for doing or not doing something.
