daughter, Laurel, has had to leave her dreams of becoming a teacher and follow her family to Alaska. There she will discover a great love for the new land, and also have to choose between two very different men, both who have fallen in love with her.

This was a very good story, which opened my eyes to how the valley of Matanuska and how the government helped bring folks into Alaska. It takes you there and helps you experience what life would have been like, both the joys and the sorrows, the beauty of it and the pain of it. There will be great sorrow, but also great joy as this family works together and trusts in God to get them through the rough times. I look forward to continuing this saga in the next book, "Worthy of Riches".
