This book is about Alexander the Great. The relationships with his family and the battles that he fought are described very well. I never knew that his relationship with his mother was questioned and that cleopatra was his stepmother. After his father was murdered by his own people, Alexander
I thought that this book could be great in a history lesson. I would assign books like this for a book report for history. I think that 4th- to 5th graders might find this very interesting because the book also has descriptive paintings.
I enjoyed this book (I am a history major) I found it fascinating to learn about someone that was a great leader. I found it very interesting that he was even merciful to his enemies.
