party rings through in his account of the daily perils they faced. The book does a nice job of describing the various tribes of Indians that Lewis and Clark encountered. Unfortunately, I found the illustrations to be rudimentary and unimpressive. Such a great story would be better suited with a more attractive visual aid.
This book gives a good account of Lewis and Clark, and provides sufficient factual information about the journey for a study to give a report on it. It would be useful in a social studies class or for free reading.
