Description

Bennie Rosato looks exactly like her identical twin, Alice Connolly, but the darkness in Alice's soul makes them two very different women. Or at least that's what Bennie believes, until she finds herself buried alive at the hands of her twin and sets herself on a course to stay alive long enough to exact revenge.

I really enjoyed reading this book. It was a page turner for me, not being able to put it down. It had a great plot and moved quickly.

I have just started this book. I am only on page 84.
I simply what to state that when an author finds a way to be cruel to animals in their books, it really pisses me off. It makes me hate the book, regardless of the quality of the story and writing.
I'm a vegetarian for Pete's sake.
But I am going
Show More
to keep reading, and I will try to overlook this. I realize there is not actually a dog being abused, but still.....

Be back another day with a real eview, not a rant.

I was so excited to receive an early review copy of this book. I so enjoyed her last book and was thinking this one would be just as good if not better. Honestly, this book was just awful. The writing was horribly contrived and felt like an insult to my intelligence. I didn't care about the
Show More
characters at all. I wish I could have given the book a good review, but it was on of the worst I have read in a long time.

When I read the cover blurb, Bennie Roasato is burried alive by her evil twin sister, I thought how preposterous can this story be. But somehow, Scottoline brought this all together.

I never would think about the possibilities of having an identical twin, and confusing the two of them. And, one
Show More
good, one evil adds to the dichotomy of the situation. Scottoline keeps the suspense building, even when you think the situation is about the resolve itself.

Not excellent literature, but a good read.

First I would like to say sorry it took so long to post this review...was in the middle of a book when it came...then the library called,a book I had been waiting for at least 4-5 weeks came in......that said......OMG ,,, what a book...from the beginning it was a roller-coaster ride...when I saw in
Show More
the notes on the back was having second throughts about reading it(being buried alive) but then I got to wondering how she got out or if she got out...I'm going to leave it at that...to say anymore would be giving to much away...but I do love the ending...REALLY (oh...ok...I cried) ------ THANK YOU MISS LISA SCOTTOLINE ,,, the hunt is on to get my hands on more of your books......

This is a great book! It grabs you right from the start, and I always say a great mystery/suspense book should start within the first couple pages. Lisa Scottoline writes about powerful women and revolves each book around a specific character in the group, but manages to include each female

somehow. If you are already a fan of hers, let me tell you....you will love this one just as much!

Bennie Rosato and Alice Connelly are identical twins that were separated at birth. Bennie is a successful lawyer who defended Alice in a murder case several years ago. Now, Alice wants to take over Bennie’s life and steal all of her money and she’s willing to do anything to succeed.

I’ve heard
Show More
so much about Lisa Scottoline’s work that I jumped at the chance to listen to Think Twice. After I started listening to it, I discovered that Scottoline has written two other books featuring Bennie and Alice, but it’s not necessary to read them to follow or enjoy this book.

I liked, but didn’t love, listening to Think Twice – the characters were great and the story kept me interested right from the start. I didn’t like Alice or Bennie, but for totally different reasons. There were some great supporting characters as well. There was enough action to keep the story moving quickly and there were even a few unexpected twists and turns. Overall, though, the story was somewhat predictable and felt like a story I’ve read before. Having said that, it did keep me entertained throughout.

The audio version runs nine and a half hours and is narrated by Jennifer Van Dyck, and she does a great job.

Ms Scottoline has another page turner. This book captures your attention with the first chapter and does not let it go.
Imagine discovering you had a twin, an evil twin. What would she do to steal you identiry? How would you react?
Excellent, thrilling read. Very highly recommended.

Think Twice is book # 13 of the Rosato and Associates series. This story involves Bennie Rosato, an attorney and her twin sister Alice, a drug abuser. Alice Connelly and Bennie Rosato may be twin sisters but they are nothing alike. Ms. Scottoline does a great job with this one. It is suspenseful,
Show More
exciting and a definite page turner. The female characters are great. They are strong, 'go for it' women.
I just started reading Lisa Scottoline this year. This is the 2nd book of this series I have read. I plan to go back to the beginning and read all of them. I hope they are all as exciting as Think Twice.

The Good Stuff

* Snappy dialogue
* Exciting storyline, keeps you on the edge of your seat at times
* Interesting characters
* Fascinating premise
* Good twists and turns and satisfying ending
* Fiorella is a great character

The Not so Good Stuff

* Not very believable how quickly twin sister obtained
Show More
all the access to her sisters financial records
* The stuff about her digging out of her grave also wasn't really believable -- but than again not something I would really want to find out about.
* For a Lawyer main character is too naive

Favorite Quotes/Passages

"Everything was bought and paid for, and the girl was a saver, which explained her wardrobe"

"She had paralegal training, and she was a scam artist, which was a lawyer without the student loans"

"Sometimes it was hard to choose between best friend and boyfriend, and she should have gone with the ovaries."

"When she saw how much of her mortgage payment went toward interest, she decided that the line between federal banking and organized crime was way too fine."

"Maybe any one of us, pushed to the brink, is capable of evil."

What I Learned

* Lawyer's are kinda dumb sometimes
* It is not always fun to have a twin
* Stress can do strange things to you

Who should/shouldn't read

* Good for mystery and suspense lovers
* Some violence and sex so not for the prudish

Great addition to a wonderful series. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists - who knew what and when? Who could tell and who couldn't? Would she or wouldn't she kill? It'll mean a whole lot more to those who have read her books in the past so start with the first one ' Everywhere that Mary went'.

"Think Twice,"is part of Lisa Scottoline's smash hit series about Bennie Rosato and her law practice. In this story Bennie's crazy twin sister tries and almost succeeds in killing her and stealing her identity. Alice(the sister) wants to get rid of Bennie, and steal her money and then hit the road
Show More
never to be seen again. Alice almost gets away with it, but Bennie fights to convince the people in her life that she is the true Bennie Rosato and not her evil twin sister, and at first when the don't believe her she takes matters into her own hands. Luckily the people she works with finally realize somethings up, and help her reclaim her name and her money. The story ends with Alice basically in the wind, but I doubt this will be the last time Alice is heard from. A story full of adventure and suspense that keeps you wanting to read me.

Ultimately a disappointment. Lisa Scottoline has worn out her welcome with this series. It seems she can find nothing to do with the mostly boring, been there, seen that, characters, and so she decides to lift the plot of A Stolen Life, a second rate Bette Davis movie. That movie though at least
Show More
had Bette Davis. This novel has Bennie Rosato, perhaps the most lifeless character in the series, and an evil twin who wants to steal her identity. Are we really doing stolen twin identities in the 21st century? If there was such a thing as B movies anymore, this one would not even rate that grade. It's a C all around. The characters are vapid, the plot sloppy and uninteresting, and the author seems to be recycling old novels and changing a few details. Not recommended.

Bennie's crazy twin sister returns and steals Bennie's identity. As Alice is busy charming Bennie's acquaintances just long enough to steal her money and get out of the country, Bennie digs herself out of trouble and tries to convince the cops that Alice is up to no good. Fast-paced, fun,
Show More
suspenseful adventure with some unbelievable (and unnecessary) plot elements.

I found this book very good, but with having read previous Lisa Scottoline books with the same characters, I did find the way Bennie handled the situation was a bit not like her. Other than that, it was well written, and most of the other characters were more in line from previous books.

This was the first book I read by Lisa Scottoline and I thoroghly enjoyed it. It was the type of book that once you start it you don't want to put it down. I highly recommend it.

This was a quick, fun read. Lisa Scottoline never dissapoints! If you have not read any of her books, you really should start with her first one, as the same characters appear in each novel and it is important to the development of the characters to read them chronologically.

This is the story of how Bennie must fight for her life when her twin Alice reappears. Along the way she discovers the things that are most important in life and that there is evil residing in us all. The story gets kind of convoluted with the addition of Mary's story into the mix. A little lengthy
Show More
for what actually occurs. Will hold the readers attention and is full of drama, twists, and suspense.

When Bennie Rosato is invited to her identical twins for a housewarming dinner, she never suspects the true motive behind the invitation. Alice Connelly, Bennie’s twin is in big trouble; her drug-dealing partners are trying to find and kill her. Alice has decided the only way out of her trouble
Show More
is to kill her twin and assume her identity. She believes her plan as worked and she fools everyone. Sleeping with Bennie’s boyfriend, stealing all of Bennie’s money and moving it offshore, and fooling everyone who works for Bennie. The plan is moving along very smoothly, even when Bennie shows up, Alice convinces everyone that Bennie is Alice and that Alice is Bennie. Everything Bennie has worked for and loved is threatened. The only questions that remain, are how far can someone go to protect themselves and can a good person be driven to do evil things?

I think I must be the last person on earth who’s never read a book by Lisa Scottoline. This is the 13th…yep…I said THIRTEENTH book in the Bennie Rosato series. Huh…who knew?? Not me, obviously. I’m a big fan of series, and a really big fan of mystery suspense series. I have no idea how I missed out on this author. I liked that the author treads the fine line of introducing a new reader to the series, without repeating everything that’s been written in the past. My interest is piqued and I plan on picking up book number one, Everywhere That Mary Went, and working my way through the series.

My only real complaint with the story was the attention paid to seemingly minor characters. One of Bennie’s employees, Mary, is featured way too much for my liking. Perhaps Mary plays an integral part in the other books, but I didn’t see the point of including Mary, her parents, her sexy, witchy, widowed cousin, who may or may not be seducing Mary’s father, in the story. I thought it was an unnecessary side trip, and it didn’t add much to the storyline, except pages of text. I’ll reserve judgment on the whole Mary/Bennie/Mary’s family storyline until after I read a few more of the series.

Complaints aside, Think Twice was a pretty good read, I suspect it moves the whole series along and I’m guessing it’s not the last Lisa Scottoline’s readers have seen of the Bennie and Alice conflict.

Wow, great read. Just goes to show people that family isn't always the one who will save you. Another great book from Lisa Scottoline

Absolutely a grabber, this book is!! Ms. Scottoline has written a heartwrenching, mind gripping, thriller in "Think Twice"-a story that is realistic about twins who are as different as night and day-but are they really that different? Only the reader will be able to tell. The story keeps you
Show More
interested without letting you down at all. The ending was interesting, but is there a "sequel" in the works? Could very well be!!

This isn't the best of Lisa Scottoline's books, but isn't the worst, either. Mostly it feels a bit forced and slapdash, but the evil twin plot is always entertaining and she writes some funny characters and gives them some funny lines. Oddly, the best part of the book were the chapters where our
Show More
heroine is buried alive and struggling to break free - truly claustrophobic and utterly believable descriptive writing that made me wonder if Ms. Scottoline had herself buried alive to see what it might feel like. Those chapters made my skin crawl. Other than that the book is mildly entertaining, but really just so-so.
