This book is a real grabber. It deals with a jewish family in Hungary during World War II. Their daily struggles and perils and the character that they had to deal with them inspired me to learn more. Raoul Wallenberg figured greatly in the novel.

summer reading list and the only one of the 35 plus that my local library didn't have. I managed to get it from an inter-library loan and because it came from an outside library I had only 2 weeks to read it, and was in the middle of reading another selection form the list Union Atlantic.
