This was my first and most likely my last Patterson book. First off, I want to start by saying that this book is mildly entertaining, as in, I want to read something that will not give me much thought, nor will it keep my interest beyond putting it down. This book is an EXTREMELY fast read. I
Show More
finished it in two sittings. Mainly because it has about 80 chapters that are one page each, which makes the 350+ paged book really only about 100 with so many BLANK pages or half filled pages. The plot is extremely cliched. Murderous woman makes lots of guys fall in love with her, then she kills them and takes their money. FBI Agent goes undercover to nab her but falls for her. Or does he? Or doesn't he? Honestly, I could care less!!

Very good book as usual by James Patterson.

This was an enjoyable read. Nora was just TOO over-the-top to be real; but FBI Agent John O'Hara was a great character--very human and flawed. There were a few interesting twists and turns about Agent O'Hara's family. Good read.

Not a bad thriller. Parts of it reminded me of a classic P.I. novel, parts of it were just plain, eye-rolling corny, but overall it was a fast-paced, interesting read.

Patterson has been pretty watered down lately, but this one reminds me a little of why he has been a favorite of mine. Fast paced and an easy read.

I thought this story about a high class black widow could have been much better. The book does have the traditionally short chapters which makes it a quick read, but I felt too much was left out as far as character development. In addition, there is a subplot involving the FBI which I also think
Show More
was kind of just thrown in there. I hate to say, this story left me rather disappointed and wanting more.

This is one of my favorite non-Alex Cross novels. I still have no idea how Patterson Co-writes with other authors, but I like this pairing.

A very good book by James Patterson! Quick read and fast! Easy to understand with nice twists and turns. Good book!

realised some 160 pages into it that I'd read this book two years ago in 2006. I didn't remember the ending so I kept going. Two years later, I still don't understand "The Tourist" but it's a typical Patterson fast read.

heard this on cd and it was expertly performed by a male and female who made the story very interesting. Is Nora sinclair killing her husbands for their money? Is john o'hara going to leave everyone for her or solve the case? Well done.

Suspenseful murder mystery with a few unexpected twists and more expected ones. Interesting characters and just enough psychology to show some depth. It was the perfect book to have on hand at 1 in the morning on a stormy night.

The beautiful Nora Sinclair has had no luck with men. First her first husband dies in a medical mix-up then her fiancé Connor has a heart attack in his forties. But don’t feel sorry for Nora yet… she murdered both of them and has her next victim in her sights, her husband Jeffery. Yes, you
Show More
read that right. She was planning a wedding while she was already married. She is a cold blooded murderer who has the grieving act down pat.

Just after Connor’s murder Nora transfers a large amount of money out of his bank account to her bank in the Cayman Islands. This immediately raises a red flag and FBI agent John O’Hara is sent in undercover. He plays up to Nora’s greed as an insurance agent investigating a potential $1.9 million payout if the autopsy proves Connor died of natural causes.

As the investigation proceeds John and Nora get closer and John puts his career on the line when he falls under the black widow’s spell. Will he become the next victim or will he find the proof her needs to put her away before she rides off into the sunset a very rich woman?

Just like the collaboration of Sail, Patterson and Roughan reveal the bad guy (or in this case girl) right up front. We quickly learn about Nora’s evil ways but the delicious part of the book is how she gets away with it and the anticipation of finding out whether or not she gets caught. And still the ending was a surprise and not what I expected.

My review is based on the audio book and again there are two narrators. The female characters are read by Hope Davis and the males are read by Campbell Scott. I wish every audio book I listened to was done in this same way. All these Patterson audio books with two narrators are spoiling other audio books for me. LOL Needless to say, I recommend this one for all suspense lovers.

Patterson releases who the killer is in the beginning of this book so a bit of the mystery is gone. However, I enjoyed reading from the killer's perspective as well as from the one solving the crime. Part of the ending is interesting because you don't have it figured out, Then part of the ending is
Show More
just too brief & quick leaving it hard to beleive would happen. Still a big fan of Patterson and it did hold my attention.

The only part that I liked was wehn they arrested teh murderous Nora and she was gone for good. I dind't like the atmosphere of teh book. For example, it talked a lot about sex and what Nora did to her husbands and steal their money. AHS/KS

I loved this book! I found that I could not put it down until I had finished it! This book is a must read!

Another quick beach read. I don't see what Roughan brought to the table. I didn't see anything that deviated from Patterson's normal formula. Also, I think Patterson passed up the chance to put in some interesting technical detail. If he had the story would have been a lot more interesting. And why
Show More
was the letter from Olivia to Nora never revealed? Now that was a real opportunity missed.

This is an excellent book. I loved the writer's style. This is the first romantic thriller I read. It contains alot of twist and turns and it is almost impossible to predict how the events will turn out to be. After reading this book I am interested in reading more from the author's list of

best-selling novels.

Haven't read the book yet, but it sound heart stoppingly scary and very saucy...sounds fantastic!

This book was my least favorite Patterson co-write to date. I felt that the story lacked originality and had been done many times before.

The story is about Nora Sinclair a beautiful and deadly black widow. She killed her first husband, who was a cardiologist, then she killed her fiance and drained
Show More
both mens off shore bank accounts. This fact is what alerted the FBI to her crimes. Enter John O'Hara an FBI agent trying to tie the crimes to this woman before she kills her next husband/finance but he finds himself drawn physically to Nora.

There is another side story going on that ties the two together but if I go into any other detail it was spoil it for the next reader. This was definitely a fast but light read perfect for the beach or mindless entertainment if you don't mind the been there done that aspect of the story.

Very interesting black widow murder mystery and the FBI agent who falls under her spell.

Finally a Patterson book that made me remember why I'm such a fan! The last ones I read were really bad... maybe because now he writes 3/4 books a year and with partners??
Anyway, this was a fine thriller, full of big and little twists and surprises. The book is difficult to put down and we just

read it in a flash!
