I purchased this book from Amazon to read with my sister's as a bible study group. All opinions are my own. ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸ๐ŸŒŸAnxious For Nothing by Max Lucado. With the chaos in the world today with technology, war, terrorism, and fast paced life we choose, it is hard to keep the anxiety away.

It's there always close and very, very real for some people. Lucado gives us hope in finding a different way to perceive and keep anxiety at bay while gaining faith in powers greater than ourselves. As a nurse, I truly realize just how anxiety can grab a hold of you and make you struggle to even breathe, and while this book is not a cure all for an anxiety disorder it will give you a calm feeling and a hope to one day become more powerful than the emotion that is trying to control you. My sisters and I chose to do this as a group bible study but this can be read and the workbook done alone in your own space and pace. I enjoyed the group discussions we had and the way we can talk to one another about the book. It gives you an insight to other perceptions, so if you have a buddy that will read and work through the workbook with you it makes it that much more rewarding. All of his books speak to my soul. This one was no different but maybe particularly good. I want to read it again and go back and forth between the chapters and the review for each chapter at the end. I didn't do that the first time.

Stressed with anxiety and fear, our society strains to the breaking point. Lucado illuminates the symptoms and causes. Beyond this, he arms readers with Godโ€™s principles and scriptures to counteract these insidious stressors. We can renew our hearts and minds.

I love Lucado's writing; all of his books are easy to read. This one is very good. Did I take everything I read to heart? Not really since the coronavirus thing has hit. It's a book I may revisit in the future.

This was a good short book on how deal with anxiety in your life as a Christian. He focuses on Philippians 4, with a step by step progression through the scripture in eleven chapters. The beginning was a more of a confirmation of what I knew already, but the last three chapters and the practical

questions for reflection at the end by Jessalyn Foggy were excellent practical advice that I will implement in my daily walk.
