Issues-based information and advice address coming out, prejudice, getting support, staying safe, making healthy choices, and thriving in school. specifically queer or questioning teens (not allies) who are directly dealing with these issues and offer specific formatting to identify web and print resources, phone numbers and other opportunities for more information. “Been There” bubbles highlight quotes from other LGBTQ teens on their experiences, and dialogs are even written out to help teens plan coming out talks, or conversations with girl or boyfriends. GLBTQ is written like a letter but organized like a textbook. Recommended for any YA non-fiction collection, in school or public libraries.
